What to expect: The evening game between KKR and RPS will be played on a different wicket to the one that was used for their previous encounter. Expected to be another surface with a grass covering, it should aid the pacers as it has throughout the season. Dew would come into play and batting second should come in handy, like the KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir has mostly preferred.

History: Pune are yet to taste a victory against the two-time IPL champions. They lost on both occasions in the previous season before Gambhir and Uthappa combined to sink them with a 158-run stand in the only face-off so far in this edition.

Team News:

Rising Pune Supergiant: RPS should not make any changes to the eleven that won them the game against Gujarat Lions to consolidate their standing in the Top Four. While there was a whole lot of doubt about Stokes's fitness before the previous game, his match-winning knock has now ensured that apart from any niggle, he is not going to miss out at all for as long as he is around for Pune's campaign.

Kolkata Knight Riders: The KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir had hinted at the toss in the previous game that if it ain't broke, why bother fixing it? Whether he has spotted some chink in the armour following his side's loss against SRH, it is highly unlikely, which means the hosts could play the same eleven again. Kuldeep's assuring success and not-much-seen trickery should keep him ahead of the experienced leggie Piyush Chawla. That aside, when does Shakib Al Hasan play his next game is also a question that seemed to be doing the rounds on the eve of the match. He can only come in at Colin de Grandhomme's cost, but that looks unlikely.

Did you know?

- MS Dhoni averages 63.67 against KKR in 16 innings - the most for him against an opposition.
- KKR have not lost a match in IPL while chasing at the Eden Gardens since 2012, winning all 12.
- Pacers for RPS have taken 13 wickets at 39.69 and conceded at 8.72. In comparison, their spinners have 22 wickets at 25.00, with Tahir taking 16 of those wickets.

What They Said:

I think we just got to execute our plans and hit our areas and try bowl to areas where he [Ben Stokes] is not as strong and hopefully get him out early: Colin de Grandhomme said on being asked about how they plan to stop Ben Stokes from piling on the runs like he did in Pune's last outing.
